Information
The Unit Entry - Backup Report allows users to define backup criteria needed for a bill on the Bill Backup Style. Unit Entry is a Backup Type on the Bill Backup Style. If selected, Unit Entry backup lines are created during the Prebill and Final Bill Initialization processes. Unit Entry Backup Reports are automatically generated based on the backup lines created by these processes and available on the Prebill or Final Bill Backup.
The Project (from the Project Bill Code), Document Date and Client (from the Bill Term Client Code) display for the Unit Entry Backup Report on the header of each page. Additional header information is displayed based upon the Backup Level selections on the Bill Backup Style associated with the Project and Bill Term. For example, Bill Task is displayed if Backup Level is Backup Task, Cover Task or Task.
Sections are divided into Transaction Details and Adjustment Details, if applicable, for the employee listed on the report. Audit trail information may also be provided. Sample Report.
Transaction Details
The transaction details area displays the following columns.

| Sequence |
Displays the unit entry line item's sequential number from the Unit Entry report and originating line. |
| Date | Displays the transaction date. |
| Employee / Vendor | Displays the employee / vendor code and name with prefix . The display options are E for employee or V for vendor. |
| Unit | Displays the unit bill name. |
| Equipment | Displays the equipment name. |
| Project | Displays the project code when project code changes. |
| Task | Displays the task hierarchy code. |
| Location | Displays the location code associated with each project. |
| Quantity | Displays the quantity of units, formatted to two decimal places. This is blank when the number of units is zero (0). |
| Measure |
Displays the measure short name from Unit for each unit. |
| Total Quantity | Displays the sum of the quantity column across all unit bill types. |
Show Lines
The Unit Entry Backup Report displays information based on the Show Lines selected on the Bill Backup Style for the Backup Type of Unit Entry. If Backup Level is Bill, Cover Task, Backup Task or Task, the project and task line items appear in bold for bill backup.
The following rules apply:
- Selecting Show Lines All displays the original unit entry report, displaying all lines entered on the report.
- Selecting Show Lines Project displays unit entry detail for the project code that is billed. This may include multiple lines of task detail if the employee charged to multiple WBS on the project. All other project units expense on the unit entry report are lumped together in one single row and display as Other under the project column. These other units are included in the amount total.
- Selecting Show Lines Bill displays unit entry detail for the project bill term that is billed. This may include multiple lines of task detail if the employee charged to multiple WBS on the project bill term. All other expense not on the project bill term are lumped together in one single row and display as Other under the project column. These other units are included in the amount total.
- Selecting Show Lines Single Task displays unit entry detail for each distinct task for the project bill term that is billed. The Bill Backup process determines which task the backup is for. All other units not related to the task are lumped together in one single row and display as Other under the project column. These other units are included in the amount total.
Note: There is only one task listed when Show Lines Single Task is selected and the task must be for the bill term that is billed.
Adjustment Details
The Unit Entry Backup Report will display adjustment lines in the Adjustment Details section of the report if Show Adjustments is selected for Backup Type of Unit Entry on the Bill Backup Style. The adjustment details area displays the following columns.
Adjustment lines display that belong to the Expense Report and are based on the backup level in use.
The following rules apply:
- Selecting Show Lines All displays all lines that were entered on the original unit entry report. When Show Adjustments is selected, and the backup line is an adjustment, all adjustments for the unit entry that are bill Items on the Prebill will be displayed.
- Selecting Show Lines Project displays unit entry report detail for the project code that is billed. This may include multiple adjustment lines if the unit entry had adjustments to multiple tasks on the project / bill term that is billed. All other project units are lumped together in one single row and display as Other under the project column. These other units are included in the total amount.
- Selecting Show Lines Bill displays only unit entry for the project bill term that is billed. This may include multiple adjustment lines if the unit entry had adjustments to multiple tasks on the project / bill term that is billed. All other units not on the project bill term are lumped together in one single row and display as Other under the project column. These other units are included in the total amount.
Note: For Show Lines Bill, if the originating Timesheet Entry transaction is on the project that is billed, then the original line transaction detail will display.

audit Trail
The Audit Trail area (Transitions) displays on the report if Bill Backup Style property Show Audit Trail is selected for the Backup Type of Unit Entry. This displays Workflow Transitions that have occurred on the Unit Entry.
Field Description Date / Time Displays the event date and time. User Name Displays the user's full name. Action Displays the project code when project code changes. State Displays the state name. Comments Displays any associated comments. Comments supports word wrap.
