Opportunity Source

The Opportunity Source screen allows you to add and define opportunity sources. An opportunity source is a custom, client-defined lead source that is assigned to an opportunity to identify where the opportunity originated. This is a reporting parameter used for grouping and sorting and can be used to measure forecasts and past sales results.

Examples of opportunity sources include trade group, campaign, social media, and advertising.

General

In the General area, define the opportunity source.

 Field Description
Code Enter a unique alphanumeric key to identify the document. Once a code has been entered and the document has been submitted to final, it typically cannot be changed.
Name Enter a name to describe the document. The name does not have to be unique.
  Status

Select the status of the document.
