License

The License screen allows you to maintain licenses for any BST Global products. Upon purchasing the use of a BST Global product or adjusting the number of employees for which you are licensed, you will be issued a license key. The license key determines the product you are licensed to use and a quantity of users (active employees) that can use the product.

If this is the first time that you are licensing the product, you will need to create a License for the product and then add the license key. Each license key has a date on which it becomes effective and, optionally, a date on which the license key will expire. For a license key to be effective, the current system date must be equal to or greater than the Effective Date and less than the Expiration Date if one has been provided.

General

In the General area, enter information about your licenses.

Field		Description
	Effective Quantity	Displays the total quantity on all active licenses for the selected product. A license is active when the current system date is greater than or equal to the Effective Date but less than the Expiration Date.   Note: For the product, the Effective Quantity refers to the number of Employees who have an Active status. If the number of active employees equals the Effective Quantity you will be prevented from adding any active employees.
	Product	Select the licensed product. BST11 is currently the only available choice.

License Key

In the License Key area, enter information for individual license keys. A license key should be created for each license provided by BST Global.

Field		Description
	Key	Enter the License Key provided by BST Global. This key is provided in an electronic format and is digitally signed. The account ID portion of this key must be the same as the Customer Account ID entered in Global Settings. The license key cannot be altered in any way. Doing so will invalidate the key and cause the effective license quantity to be zero. This selection cannot be changed once the document has been in a final state.
	Effective Date	Displays the date that the license key becomes active in the system. This is derived from the entered Key.
	Expiration Date	Displays the date that the license key expires in the system. If the date is empty, the license key will not expire. This is derived from the entered Key.
	Quantity	Displays the number of active employees available on the license. This is derived from the entered Key.
