Hours Type

The Hours Type screen allows you to add and define categories of hours. An Hours Type code is associated with charged time. This is a reporting parameter for grouping and sorting and can be reported on in the Payroll system.

Examples of hours types include: holiday, vacation, sick, marketing, double-time, and prevailing wage.

General

In the General area, enter hours type information.

  Field Description
Code Enter a unique alphanumeric key to identify the document. Once a code has been entered and the document has been submitted to final, it typically cannot be changed.
Name Enter a name to describe the document. The name does not have to be unique.
  Prorate Unpaid Overtime Select to include this hours type in the handling of unpaid overtime for salaried employees. The default is not selected.
  Status

Select the status of the document.
