Fiscal Calendar
The Fiscal Calendar screen allows you to define the fiscal calendars that are available to assign to a company. A fiscal calendar defines the fiscal years and their fiscal periods. Each fiscal year will contain the posting periods that are associated with the fiscal year. You can create more than one fiscal calendar if you have fiscal years that start in different periods.
For example, some companies may start their fiscal year in January while others may start in July. In this example, you can define a fiscal calendar that defines fiscal periods that start in January and another fiscal calendar whose fiscal periods start in July. Each company is assigned a Fiscal Calendar that will determine the periods that will be selected when financial statements are created, as well as determine the fiscal period when the end of year process should be run.
