Budget Category

The Budget Category screen allows you to add and define budget categories. Budget categories help to categorize and organize the budget assigned to each project. Posting groups use budget categories to perform labor and expense revenue distribution in the general ledger.

General

In the General area, enter information to define the budget category.

  Field Description
Code Enter a unique alphanumeric key to identify the document. Once a code has been entered and the document has been submitted to final, it typically cannot be changed.
Name Enter a name to describe the document. The name does not have to be unique.
  Subconsultant Select if the budget category can recognize subconsultant charges. This field is only enabled when the budget category is Expense.
  Labor / Expense

Select whether the Budget Category is for Labor or Expense.

  Status

Select the status of the document.
