Save a Document
The Save option allows you to save a new or modified document. This option is available on the system toolbar.
Save a Document
With a document open, click the Save
button and then select the Save option.
An informational banner displays at the top of the tab to confirm that the save was successful.
Save and New
With a document open, click the Save
button and then select the Save and New option. You can also press F8.
The current document instance is saved, and a new document instance of the same document type is created.
Save As
The Save As option allows you to add or modify transformation customizations. A transformation defines how the mapping from a document, which can be the same or a different document type, is used to create a new instance. For example, when a timesheet is copied, the project information but not the hours might be copied.
- With a document open, click the Save
button and then select the Save As option. You can also press F12.
The Save As dialog box displays. - In Transformation, select how the document will be used to create a new document. A transformation defines how the mapping from a document, which can be the same or a different document type, is used to create a new document.
- Click the Create button.
The file is saved.
