Project Screen Formatting

On the Project and Project Progress screens, line items in lists are formatted in various ways to provide additional information. For more information on how hierarchical lists function in the system, see Manage Hierarchical Lists.

 

Note: When the value has been edited, hover over the value to display both the current and original value.

Formatting Description
Triangle Icon ()

On the Tasks and Bill Structure tabs, a triangle icon () displays to the left of the name if the level of the task corresponds with the Variance level. For more information about the variance level, see Project Controls area on the Project - Info Tab (Extended or Default). Also see Project - Budgets tab.

Font Weight

For each line item, the font weight provides the following information:

  • Bold: Indicates that the line item is a parent level item. For example, on the Tasks tab, the parent task is in bold font.
  • Italics: When there are two types of records or data included in a list, this indicates it is the secondary type of record. For example, on the Resources tab, the resource rows are italicized.
  • Regular: Indicates that the line item is a leaf item. For example, on the Tasks tab, the lowest level task is in regular font.
Font Color

For each line item, the font color provides the following information:

  • Black: Indicates that the values were entered.
  • Gray: Indicates that the values were inherited.
