Final Bill
The Final Bill screen allows you to review information to be included on a final bill. It also contains information to later reinstate a final bill, if needed. The final Bill Report is generated as part of the final bill process. Once the bill is submitted, updates are posted to A/R and other billing related tables.
From this screen, click the related items
button, and then select the Print or View option to print and view the Bill Report.

Warning: Making changes to an existing Project’s Bill Structure or Bill Style can introduce a risk that Previous Billings will need to be reallocated. See Bill History Correction Procedure for examples of when to reallocate previous billings, make changes to bill structure when reallocation is not needed and steps required for reallocating correctly. There are certain conditions in the Bill Structure that, if changed, pose issues in the next Prebill. This will usually come in the form of Previous Billings values being dropped, leading to miscalculated current billings in many cases. The changes that pose issues may include: 1. Changing Constrain Level 2. Adding Parent Tasks 3. Moving Task across Bill Terms |
Split Pane View
The Final Bill screen has a vertical split pane view. The PDF Viewer on the left pane displays the final invoice report image and layout and on the right is the pane with the final invoice information.
The PDF Viewer pane displays the invoice image or attachment associated with the selected final invoice report. This viewing pane can be undocked as a separate window. The undocked window can be moved around or to a second monitor as well as resized. When the viewing pane is undocked, the right pane consumes the space previously occupied by the PDF Viewer pane.
The project bill term code and bill number display on the right side above the three tabs.
The three tabs located on the right pane are:
- Info tab - Includes all the values shown on the cover page of the final invoice report. Examples include project dates, currency exchange rates, variable descriptions, bill control items and bill term taxes.
- Transactions tab - Shows all the project line item details associated with the final invoice bill, such as the EVC, transaction date, tasks, organizations and their quantities and costs. Transfers, write-offs, holds, and effort variables are also included.
- Backup tab - Shows all backup information associated with the final invoice report, such as backup type and status, posting and document dates and all associated backup tasks and EVC types.
Each of these tabs is described in more detail below:
