Project Profitability %

Additional Information

The Project Profitability Percent visualizer allows you to view the aggregated profit percentage for all projects that you are responsible for or the projects that your resources are assigned to work on. This indicates the overall project performance for your project portfolio. The chart displays the To Date (TD), Month To Date (MTD), and Year To Date (YTD) profit for each selected posting period.

The timeframe displays the last six posting periods, starting with the last five months up to the current month. The posting periods are based on the selected Posting Calendar.

All data in this chart is derived from project and calendar information.

Area Description
Percentage

The left side of the chart, or y-axis, displays the profit percent.

Time

The area below the chart, or x-axis, displays posting periods.

Chart

The chart includes the following information. Profits lines display as three separate, dotted lines.

  • Posting Period: Displays the posting period short name.
  • Month To Date Profit %: Displays the month to date profit percent for the period, which is calculated as (MTD Revenue – MTD Total Cost) / ABS(MTD Revenue) x 100.
  • Year To Date Profit %: Displays the year to date profit percent for the period, which is calculated as (YTD Revenue – YTD Total Cost) / ABS(YTD Revenue) x 100.
  • To Date Profit %: Displays the project to date profit percent for the period, which is calculated as (PTD Revenue – PTD Total Cost) / ABS(PTD Revenue) x 100.
